About Youth Serving Christ

Youth Serving Christ (YSC) is a part of the Southern Illinois Christian Conference and is made up of a 3-person board of directors, adult volunteers, and teens with a desire to serve others. Our purpose is to encourage teens to serve Christ by serving others. Our service to others is directed to those living on Indian Reservations in the United States, but not exclusively to them. Since we began in 1998, we have gone to Reservations every year but two.

All positions in YSC are volunteer and we represent several churches from our community. The teens are asked to raise their $75 registration fee as a token of their commitment. The rest of the money needed for these mission trips is raised together through various fundraisers and private donations. YSC gives teens an opportunity to make a difference to others and grow in their own character.
