Principles of the Christian Church

  1. Accept no other name, only Christian.
  2. The Holy Bible the only rule of faith. In any discussions or disputes concerning Biblical truths the Old King James Version is the final authority.
  3. Christ the head of the Church.
  4. Steadfastly and truly believe as the Scriptures teach that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
  5. We believe in regeneration and born again. -John 3:7.
  6. And if an individual fails to hold faithful to the end, he be cast into outer darkness. Matthew 25:14-30; Matthew 12:43-45; Luke 11:24-26.
  7. We believe water baptism is a commandment, and should receive it but not essential to spiritual baptism. Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 23:43.
  8. We receive persons from any religion incorporated denomination, with like beliefs as the So. Ill. Christian Conference, by letter or by Christian character.
  9. We believe in open communion.
